The Chinese Military motorcycle is the bike most suited to off road conditions. The front mudguard is raised high off the wheel, and is fixed to the front forks rather than to the axle. This modification was intended to reduce the risk of the front guard hitting against the engine or the wheel. The red star on the tank has the Chinese characters for "one" and "eight" written in the middle. This represents the day and month of the founding of the People's Republic - the first of August, 1949.
